Accessibility Statement

Our target

This site is built to conform with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We treat that as a working standard, not a certification we claim to have been awarded.

What we have implemented

• Semantic structure. Real landmarks, one h1 per page, and a heading hierarchy that does not skip levels — so the page can be navigated by structure rather than by sight.
• Keyboard access. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard. The mobile menu traps focus while open, closes on Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
• Visible focus. A high-contrast focus ring on every focusable element. We never remove focus styling.
• Skip link. A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
• Colour contrast. The palette was rebuilt from the legacy brand colours specifically so that body and interface text clears 4.5:1, and large text clears 3:1, against the surfaces they actually sit on.
• Colour is never the only signal. Status is always labelled in text as well as colour.
• Reduced motion. All animation respects prefers-reduced-motion. Nothing on this site conveys meaning through motion alone, so switching motion off costs no information.
• Text alternatives for visual models. The Recursive Human Systems Model is not a picture of information — each stage is a real button in reading order with a text description in a live region. Nothing in it is locked inside a canvas.
• Forms. Every field has a persistent visible label. Errors are announced, described programmatically, and never communicated by colour alone.
• Images. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative visuals are hidden from assistive technology rather than narrated pointlessly.
• Readable measure. Line lengths are constrained for readability, and the layout reflows to 320px and to 200% zoom without loss of content.
• No autoplay audio, and no content that flashes.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than imply perfection:

• This site has been tested with automated tooling and manual keyboard and structural review. It has not yet undergone a formal third-party audit or testing with a full range of assistive technologies and users with disabilities. Until it has, this statement describes our implementation and intent, not an independently verified result.
• The Recursive Human Systems Model diagram is best experienced with a pointer or keyboard. Its full content is available as text, but the spatial relationship of the loop is conveyed visually.

Tell us if we got something wrong

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it — that is a defect, and we will treat it as one. Write to info@youngethicalintelligence.com with the page and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days, and if a fix takes longer, we will tell you what we are doing and provide the information you needed by another route in the meantime.
